**No Change in Russia’s Military Strength**
Experts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) say that this recent strike and Putin’s comments do not mean that Russia has become more powerful or likely to use nuclear weapons. They have been using similar missiles before, but with different warheads.
**Strike on Dnipro Marks Escalation**
The 21 November attack on Dnipro was significant because it marked the first time a Russian missile of this type had been used in combat. The strike damaged critical infrastructure, industrial enterprises, and residential areas in the city.
**Missiles Fired from Different Locations**
Russian forces launched missiles from different parts of Russia to target Dnipro City. Some were fired from as far away as Tambov Oblast, while others came from Volgograd Oblast and Astrakhan Oblast.
**Ukrainian Forces Down Several Missiles**
The Ukrainian military reportedly shot down six of the missiles that were fired at Dnipro. The remaining missiles caused some damage to industrial sites, medical facilities, and residential areas in the city.
