**Russia Uses New Missile System to Attack Ukraine**
The Ukrainian intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, says Russia’s use of a new missile system in the attack on Dnipro was meant as a warning. This attack marks a significant escalation in the type of weapons Russia is willing to use against Ukraine.

According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Russian forces used a ballistic missile called “Kedr”. The agency notes that the flight time from the moment of launch in Astrakhan Oblast to impact in Dnipro was 15 minutes. The missile had six warheads, each with six submunitions.
**New Missile System Developed by Russia**
Several enterprises are involved in the development of the Kedr mobile missile system, including those in Moscow and Voronezh. Tests of the system took place at a Russian test site earlier this year.
