**Thousands of Christmas Presents for Ukrainian Children**
People across the UK have been working together to wrap about 25,000 Christmas presents. These gifts will be sent to young people in Ukraine.
Volunteers from Swindon, Bath, and Ipswich joined a “wrapathon” event organized by The Plant and Hire Aid Alliance. This is the third year of this event, and over 45,000 gifts have been sent to children in Ukraine so far.
**Bringing Joy to Children**
The idea for this event came from Jeremy Fish, CEO of Ardent Hire Solutions and founding member of The Plant & Hire Aid Alliance. He wanted to help bring some comfort and joy to children and families in Ukraine. Mr. Fish has been involved in sending humanitarian aid to the country since February 2022.
**Events Across the UK**
The Ipswich wrapathon took place on Saturday at Claydon High School, while Swindon volunteers gathered at the Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership. A second event will be held on Sunday in Swindon. In Bath, the wrapathon happened at Oldfield Park Scala.
**Getting Involved**
According to Mr. Fish, a lot of people are needed to make this event successful. Volunteers must bring wrapping paper, Sellotape, and scissors. The event aims to give everyone involved a feeling that they’ve done something nice for children. Many people have already sent photos showing the joy on children’s faces when unwrapping their presents.
