**Ukraine Defends Against Russian Drone Attack**
On the night of November 24, Russia launched a drone attack on Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that they shot down 50 of the 73 drones launched by Russia.
The drones were targeting several regions in Ukraine, including Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Zhytomyr. However, there have been no reports of casualties or damage.
**Drones Downed Over Multiple Regions**
The Air Force said that the drones were downed over several regions in Ukraine. They also reported that four Russian drones remained in Ukrainian airspace as of 9 a.m. local time.
In Kyiv, authorities reported that air defense forces shot down more than a dozen drones targeting the capital. There was no damage or casualties reported in the city.
**Russia’s Drone Attacks on the Rise**
This is not the first large-scale drone attack by Russia on Ukraine. On November 17, Russian forces launched one of the heaviest aerial strikes of the full-scale war, primarily targeting the energy grid. Ukrainian air defenses shot down 102 of the 120 missiles and 42 of the 90 drones launched overnight.
Ukraine’s military intelligence agency reported that Russian forces are using cheap decoy drones with foreign components to overload Ukraine’s air defense systems.
**Drone Components Come From Abroad**
According to Ukraine’s military intelligence agency, the components for these drones come from countries such as the United States, China, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
