**Russia Attacks Ukraine with Hundreds of Bombs and Missiles**
This week, Russia has launched a large number of attacks on Ukraine. According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, over 800 KAB-guided aerial bombs, almost 460 attack drones, and more than 20 missiles were used in the attacks.
**Daily Air Raids in Ukraine**
The air raid siren has been sounding almost daily across Ukraine this week. On the night of November 24, Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down around 50 attack drones.
**New Russian Missile Unveiled**
On November 21, Russia unveiled a new intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) called “Oreshnik“. This missile was used in an attack targeting the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine. President Zelensky described Ukraine as a sovereign and independent state that should not be treated as a testing ground for Russian weapons.
**Ukraine’s Need for Air Defense**
President Zelensky reiterated the urgent need for strengthened air defenses. He emphasized that Ukraine needs more air defense systems to protect its skies. The Ukrainian leader also instructed Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to engage with international allies to acquire advanced air defense capabilities.
**Russia’s New Missile Capabilities**
The IRBM attack by Russia followed Ukraine’s reported first successful strike on a military target within Russian territory using US-supplied ATACMS missiles. Unlike cruise missiles, IRBMs are less precise but have exceptional speed, making them a formidable threat.
