**Russian Missile Strikes on Ukraine Use North Korean Missiles with Western Electronics**
Russia’s ballistic missile attacks on Ukraine are getting more common. In 2024, they launched around 60 missiles made in North Korea at Ukraine. These missiles were powered by electronics from the US and EU.
**US and European Electronics Found in North Korean Missiles**
Ukrainian officials showed CNN some fragments of these missiles. They found that the guidance systems had significant parts made or designed in the US and Europe. This is despite sanctions against North Korea.
**North Korea Helping Russia in Ukraine**
North Korea has been helping Russia with artillery shells and missiles for a while now. They also reportedly sent 11,000 soldiers to fight against Ukraine.
**Many Deaths and Injuries from Russian Missile Strikes**
According to the Ukrainian prosecutor general, Russian strikes using North Korean missiles have resulted in 28 deaths and 213 injuries this year.
**Western Components Found in North Korean Missiles**
Ukrainian investigators found that many components of these missiles were made by Western companies. Some parts were even manufactured as recently as 2023. Experts think China is likely the intermediary for these components.
