New Minister of Foreign Affairs Speaks Out.
Maka Bochorishvili, the new candidate for the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs in Georgia, spoke about her responsibilities and goals. She thanked Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the Georgian Dream team for their trust in her.
Bochorishvili said that leading foreign policy is a difficult task today. External factors greatly influence daily life in Georgia, as well as domestic politics. Vice versa, internal affairs are also used in the foreign arena. She called this a great challenge and responsibility for her.
She expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and Georgian Dream team again. Bochorishvili said that coming to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was like returning home for her. She had grown up in this ministry. However, she also acknowledged the experience and strength gained from parliamentary activities.
Bochorishvili promised to protect Georgia’s national interests and constitutional goals as much as possible in the international arena. She vowed to do everything in her power to achieve this goal.
