Giorgi Vashadze Steps Down as Deputy
Giorgi Vashadze, a leader of the “Unity National Movement“, has asked the Parliament to take away his job as a deputy. He made this announcement at a rally in the Parliament building.
Vashadze said he did not talk to his colleagues about this decision, but thinks others will follow suit. He believes they will also ask to be removed from their jobs as deputies.
In a statement, Vashadze said: “I want my mandate to be taken away. I don‘t want to have anything to do with the Parliament. I’m here with you and will stay until we win.”
