**Ukrainian Forces Push Russian Troops Out of Village**
On November 25, Ukraine’s Third Assault Brigade said they had driven Russian troops out of the village of Kopanky in Kharkiv Oblast. The Russians were forced to leave after trying to break into the village.
The settlement is near the border with Luhansk Oblast and around 40 kilometers southeast of Kupiansk, a key logistics hub under pressure from Russian forces. Ukrainian forces have been pushing back against Russian advances in the area.
**Russian Soldiers Captured**
According to the Third Assault Brigade, they took several Russian soldiers prisoner after the village was cleared. A video published by the unit shows seven captured Russian soldiers being interrogated in a basement-like room. The Russians were reportedly under artillery fire from their own side before being captured.
Russia has been using prisoners for high-risk operations in Ukraine due to its heavy losses during the war.
**Verification Uncertain**
The Kyiv Independent could not confirm the Third Assault Brigade’s claims or where the video was recorded.
**Ukrainian Forces Success**
The Third Separate Assault Brigade is known to have been operating around the village of Borova in Kharkiv Oblast. In August, they launched a successful counterattack in the region, advancing almost 2 square kilometers into the front line area.
