**Policeman Insulted by Politician**
A member of the “Strong Georgia” coalition, Grigol Gegelia, was involved in a heated argument with a policeman during a rally on November 25. According to politician Vakhtang Gomelauri, who is running for Minister of Internal Affairs, Gegelia insulted and intimidated the officer.
**Gegelia’s Behavior Was Unacceptable**
Vakhtang Gomelauri said that Gegelia’s behavior was completely unacceptable. He claimed that Gegelia shouted at the policeman and told him to wait until tomorrow to find out his name. The minister also stated that it was not clear whether Gegelia was sober or not, but that was no excuse for his behavior.
**Police Did Not Use Excessive Force**
Gomelauri also denied allegations that the police used excessive force against Gegelia. According to him, Gegelia was sprayed with water from a water jet machine after he addressed the police mobilized on the spot.
**Freedom Square Incident**
Grigol Gegelia claimed that the water was used against him without reason, and that the police had no answer to his question about why they were breaking up a peaceful rally. The incident took place on Freedom Square.
