**Unity National Movement Seeks to Cancel Parliamentary List**
The “Unity National Movement” has asked the Central Election Commission (CEC) to cancel their parliamentary list. The party’s chairman, Tina Bokuchava, made this announcement in Strasbourg.
According to Bokuchava, the CEC will receive a letter today requesting that the parliamentary list be withdrawn. The party is also seeking re-elections with a free and professional central election administration.
**Why Are They Making This Request?**
The “Unity National Movement” does not recognize the results of these elections. They are refusing to accept mandates and do not believe the legitimacy of these elections and their results. Bokuchava mentioned that the party had previously written to the CEC, requesting that they not transfer authority to the parliament. However, this request was ignored.
**What Does This Mean for Georgia?**
The “Unity National Movement” is calling for re-elections to be conducted in a fair manner, reflecting the will of the Georgian people. They believe that only then can Georgia regain its European perspective. Bokuchava expressed hope that the CEC and Giorgi Kalandarishvili would comply with their legally stated request.
