Levan Davitashvili mentioned several transport projects that will help Georgia attract more cargo. The development of the Anaklia deep-water harbor is one such project. It’s almost complete, and the port should start operating by 2029 at the latest. The first phase will have a capacity of 600,000 containers per year.

**Railway Modernization**

Another important project is railway modernization. This will increase the annual capacity from 27 million to 48 million tons. If needed, it can go up to 100 million tons with automatic blocking system.
