**New President for Georgia**
Mikheil Kavelashvili has been chosen as the candidate for president of Georgia. This decision was made by the “Georgian Dream” party.

Political scientist Vakhtang Dzabiradze thinks that Kavelashvili was chosen because he is obedient and loyal. He said that the presidential candidate will not have any political ambitions and will follow the instructions of the team.
Dzabiradze also said that by choosing Kavelashvili, the institution of president has been abolished in practice. This means that the new president’s role will be limited to following orders from the party leaders.

Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chairman of “Georgian Dream”, made a statement about the decision. He said that the inauguration of the new president will take place on December 29 and that this marks the end of bad practices by previous presidents in Georgia.
Ivanishvili’s words suggest that he wants to show that the party is taking control and making changes to ensure good governance in the country.
