**Gaza Family Lives in Fear as War Continues**
It’s been 10 months since a family left Gaza, but they still feel the pain and loss of war. Recently, they received a message from relatives who were under attack by Israeli forces. The family was terrified for their loved ones’ lives.
Their wife collapsed when she heard the news, and it took hours to get any updates. Finally, a voice message said four people had been injured. Tragically, one of them, Wafaa, died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The family still has relatives in Gaza, including their father, who lives in a camp in Khan Younis. They feel guilty because they are safe while others struggle to survive.
**Life is Difficult for Gazans**
Many people in Gaza try to live a normal life despite the war. However, it’s hard when you’re struggling to feed and educate your children. Some families have lost their homes and businesses, making it difficult to make ends meet.
Abu Anas Ayyad, 58, was once known as “King Gravel” for his business supplying building materials in Gaza. He escaped with his family but still feels the pain of watching buildings being destroyed. He says every rocket that hits a Gaza building feels like a part of his heart being shattered.
**Hopes and Fears**
Mahmoud al Khozondr, who ran a famous falafel shop in Gaza, is now living in exile in Egypt. He shows pictures of his former home on his phone, which was destroyed in the war. His children can’t attend school, and they struggle to make ends meet.
Hamas has a different view of the conflict, but some people don‘t want their children used as pawns in a dangerous game by reckless leaders.
**Life in Exile**
Living in exile in Egypt can be difficult for Palestinians. They are allowed to stay temporarily but don’t have official residency. Access to education and other services is limited.
Remittance fees are steep, and war merchants take a 30% cut of the money sent back to Gaza. It’s heart-breaking to see profits being made from loved ones’ suffering.
