Ukraine Receives $235 Million from Japan for Education and Entrepreneurship.
The Ministry of Finance in Ukraine has announced that they have received $235 million from Japan. This money will be used to improve school infrastructure and support sustainable entrepreneurship initiatives.
Japan is a major supporter of Ukraine, especially during the war with Russia. They have given over $12 billion in aid so far. The majority of this money goes towards helping Ukraine recover from damage caused by the war.
There are two projects that Japan’s money will go towards. The first one is called RISE (Resilient, Inclusive, and Sustainable Entrepreneurship). This project gives loans to businesses to help them grow and be more sustainable. Japan has already given $130 million for this project.
The second project is called LEARN (Learning and Resilience in Education under Crisis in Ukraine). This project helps schools by providing money for things like shelters and school buses. It also aims to make sure that teachers and students are safe while they learn. The World Bank helped Japan get the $235 million for these projects.
These two projects will help improve education and business in Ukraine.
