**Response to Shalva Papuashvili‘s Statement**
Natia Mezvrishvili, a member of the “Gakharia for Georgia”, has responded strongly to the statement made by the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili. According to Mezvrishvili, Papuashvili’s broadcast on European Union membership is a crime against the constitutional structure and security foundations of Georgia.
**Crime Against the State**
Mezvrishvili published her response on Facebook, saying that when the constitutional order is restored in the country and an independent justice system is established, Papuashvili will be accused of crimes against the state. Mezvrishvili believes this is inevitable and fair justice.
**Papuashvili’s Statement**
In his statement, Papuashvili said that for Georgia to become a member of the European Union today, several free trade agreements would have to be canceled. He also mentioned that integrating with the EU would mean disintegration with many other countries, including those with visa-free travel.
