**American Actor Paul Wesley Stars in New War Drama**
Paul Wesley, known for his roles in “The Vampire Diaries” and “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” will be the lead actor in a new Ukrainian war drama miniseries called “Unspoken.”
**The Story**
“Unspoken” is about Pavlo, a former soldier who becomes a taxi driver in Poland. His wife calls him from Kyiv on the day of Russia‘s invasion, and Pavlo decides to risk everything to rescue his family. The story explores the chaos, fear, and violence of war through Pavlo’s journey.
**Production Details**
The six-episode series will start production in Eastern Europe in winter 2025-26. It was created by Polish writer Filip Syczyński and Ukrainian director Zhanna Ozírna. “Unspoken” has already won the top prize at the 2023 Series Mania festival.
**Other Projects**
Many other films and TV shows have focused on Ukraine‘s struggle against Russian occupation since the war started in 2014. These include the upcoming film “Occupation,” which tells the story of civilians during the Russian invasion, and the documentary series “Those Who Stayed,” which features personal stories from Kyiv residents.
**The Cast**
Paul Wesley will star as Pavlo in “Unspoken.” The series will be directed by David Strieaton (Narcos, Star Trek, Law & Order). It will be co-produced by Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and the US.
