**Georgian President Urges Police and Public to Protect Citizens**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, spoke to the police, army, and public today. She reminded them that their duty is to protect citizens, not foreigners or people from Russia.
**Protecting Citizens, Not Foreigners**
Zurabishvili told the police: “You are nothing without the state. Your duty is to protect citizens, not slaves, not Russians, not foreigners.” She asked them to remember this and do their job properly.
**Appeal to the Army**
The President also spoke to the Georgian army. She said they are the most loyal to the country and are hurting because Georgia is returning to being controlled by Russia again. Zurabishvili reminded them of all the national heroes who have fought for independence, and that no one can take this away.
Zurabishvili then appealed to everyone watching or outside protesting. She urged them not to lose hope and not to give up their rights. She told them to be non-accommodating, disobedient, and resistant, just as she will continue to do until the end.
