Ukraine Destroys Russian Radar System
Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) attacked and destroyed a critical Russian radar system near Kotovske in western Crimea on November 28.
This came after Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The GUR targeted the radio-location station Podlet, which is a significant military asset for the Russian army. The station is estimated to be worth $5 million.
The Podlet radar complex helps the Russian military detect aerial targets at low altitudes. It also provides target designation for Russia’s air defense systems S-300 and S-400. Ukraine’s operation aims to degrade Russian military capabilities in occupied territories.
Ukraine’s intelligence agency emphasized the precision and strategic value of this operation. This highlights their ongoing efforts to target high-value infrastructure and technological assets in occupied areas.
In related news, Ukrainian drones hit a fuel and energy facility in Russia’s Kaluga Oblast. This is part of Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian military capabilities.
