Russian Strikes in Ukraine Kill One, Injure 22
On November 29, regional authorities reported that at least one civilian was killed and 22 others were injured due to Russian strikes against Ukraine. The attacks occurred over the past day.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russian forces launched 132 drones from four Russian cities: Orel, Millerovo, Kursk, and Primosk-Akhtarsk. Ukrainian defenses managed to shoot down 88 of these drones in various regions, including Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa.
In some areas, the drones were lost due to electronic warfare countermeasures. One drone even returned to Russia.
The strikes had different effects in various regions. In Kherson Oblast, one person was killed and nine others were injured, as Russian forces targeted 15 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson.
In Odesa Oblast, seven people were injured due to drone attacks, with four victims being hospitalized. One woman’s condition is severe.
Infrastructure and homes were also damaged in some areas. In three settlements in the Odesa district, 13 residential and country houses, garages, railway infrastructure, outbuildings, a gas pipe, and a car were affected.
In other regions, people were injured or killed due to air strikes. In Donetsk Oblast, two people were injured in Kurakhove and one person was injured in Toretsk. A 33-year-old man was also hospitalized with moderately severe injuries in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast‘s Nikopol district.
