Georgian Public Broadcaster Gives Airtime to Protesters
The Georgian public broadcaster has made a surprising decision. They are giving live airtime on their channel to people participating in a protest outside their building.
A special program is being broadcast live, hosted by the channel’s General Director Tinatin Berdzenishvili. The idea is for 4 people at a time to express their views and opinions about the protest.
The first group of guests was Ninia Kakabadze, Irakli Absandze, Nata Dzvelishvili, and Nino Daraseli. They each had half an hour to speak on live television.
This unusual move is likely to stir up debate and discussion among Georgians. We’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.
