Georgians Protest Against Government in Tbilisi.
People in Georgia are protesting against their government. Thousands of them are carrying European Union flags through the streets of the capital, Tbilisi. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock wrote on social media that these people are like “the heart of Europe”.
She said it’s a big opportunity for Georgia to become part of the EU. However, she noted that the government has to listen to its country’s voice if it wants this to happen.
Protests in Tbilisi have been going on recently, with police using water cannons against the protesters. Despite this, thousands of people continue to demonstrate their support for European integration.
