**Trump Talks to Hungarian PM About Ukraine War**
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has had several phone conversations with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban since November 5th, according to sources.
These talks have been reported by the Hungarian Service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. During the calls, Trump is said to have asked for Orban’s advice on how to end the war in Ukraine.
**Orban’s Past Actions**
Hungarian government officials say that Trump has sought Orban’s opinion on strategies to stop the conflict in Ukraine. This is not the first time Orban has been involved in efforts to resolve the war. In July, he traveled to Kyiv and presented a cease-fire proposal to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Orban also met with Russian President Vladimir Putin after his trip to Ukraine. Trump himself criticized U.S. aid to Ukraine during his presidential campaign, saying that he could end the war within 24 hours of taking office.
**A New Peace Mission**
Orban is preparing for another peace mission in December, which will be a part of Hungary’s rotating presidency of the EU. The exact details of this plan are unclear, but sources say it may involve Orban delivering messages from Trump to Zelensky, Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
