A group of French parliament members wants to create a European coalition to send military instructors to Ukraine. These instructors would teach Ukrainian soldiers how to fight.
France is one of Ukraine’s biggest supporters in Europe. They have been giving Ukraine weapons like guns and missiles, as well as military vehicles. France also plans to give Ukraine fighter jets soon.
Five French parliament members wrote a letter to the Defense Minister. They want him to send French instructors to Ukraine to teach Ukrainian soldiers how to fight. The letter says that Ukraine needs this training because they are fighting against Russia in a place called Donbas.
The Russian army has been getting stronger and taking more ground in Donbas. The French parliament members think that if Ukraine gets trained, they can fight back better. They want other European countries to join them in sending instructors to Ukraine.
