Russian Army Suffers Record Losses in Ukraine War
The Russian army had a bad month in November. According to Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, they suffered record losses of military equipment and personnel.
In total, 45,720 Russian soldiers were wounded, killed, or captured. This is like losing three whole divisions of the Russian army. In one day alone, Russia lost 2,030 soldiers, which is a new record for enemy personnel losses since February 2022.
The Ukrainian forces also destroyed many Russian tanks and other equipment in November. They got rid of 307 tanks, 899 armored vehicles, and 884 pieces of artillery. The ministry estimates that all this equipment was worth over $3 billion.
As of December 1st, Russia had lost around 742,130 soldiers since the start of the war. Just in the past day, they lost 1,730 people.
