**Ukraine Defends Against Large-Scale Drone Attack**
Russia launched a big drone attack on Ukraine overnight. Ukrainian forces say they shot down 32 drones and made 45 others disappear from radar. One remaining drone was destroyed in the air.
The attack involved 78 drones, including those that can only fly one way. They came from Russia’s Kursk, Oryol, and Bryansk regions. Ukrainian air defense units worked together to stop the drones across six different areas: Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Poltava.
**Damage in Kyiv**
In Kyiv, around 10 drones were stopped by Ukrainian forces. While no actual strikes happened, crashing debris caused some damage to vehicles and a residential building. However, there were no injuries reported.
Later that morning, a fire broke out at a local market in the Obolonskyi district. But it was not related to the drone attack.
**Drones Also Targeted Lutsk**
A single drone made its way towards Lutsk later in the morning. Ukrainian forces engaged with it and shot it down using a machine gun.
