**80% of Detainees Claimed to be Subjected to Violence**
A total of 156 people have been visited by the Public Defender’s Office, and a shocking 124 of them claim that they were treated unfairly. This is almost 80% of those detained.
Public Defender Levan Ioseliani expressed his concern at this high number. He urged the police not to use more force than necessary, as required by law. “I call on the police to use only legitimate force against citizens,” he said.
**Investigations Ongoing**
The Public Defender’s Office is still visiting detainees in isolation cells. Their representatives are in almost every city where people are being held, and they are working to inform the public about what is happening.
If you have any information about rights violations, there is a hotline available. You can also contact the Public Defender’s Office to report any concerns. Once they know the whereabouts of detainees, they will notify their family members and relatives.
**A Very Worrying Indicator**
Ioseliani described this high number as very worrying. Compared to previous demonstrations, the use of excessive force by police has increased alarmingly. He urged everyone to contact the hotline with any information about rights violations.
