**Oil Leak on Russian Pipeline in Poland Does Not Affect Customers**
A leak was reported on one of the branching pipes of the Russian Druzhba pipeline in Poland. However, the Polish operator Pern said that supply to customers was not affected.
The Druzhba pipeline is a major route for oil from Russia to Europe. It has two main branches: one supplying central Europe and the other northern Europe. Poland stopped buying oil from Russia early last year.
A leak occurred on the pipe in Poland, but deliveries were rerouted and customers continued to receive their supply. Pern said that its “technical capabilities fully cover the volume needs of customers”.
The cause of the leak is unknown and will be investigated by Pern. The EU has banned imports of Russian pipeline oil in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
