**Russian Attacks on Ukraine Kill 4, Injure 23**
On December 2, Russian attacks against Ukraine killed at least four people and injured 23 across multiple regions. Authorities reported the casualties after a night of intense attacks by Russian forces.
**Drone Strikes**
The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russian forces launched 110 Shahed-type drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles overnight. Fifty-two of these drones were shot down, while 50 were lost over Ukraine due to electronic warfare countermeasures. Six drones flew into Belarus and Russia.
**Ternopil Hit Hard**
A Russian drone attack on Ternopil in western Ukraine hit an apartment building, killing at least one person and injuring four. Around 100 people were evacuated from the damaged building. The blast also damaged windows of surrounding buildings, a school, and 20 cars.
**Casualties Across Ukraine**
In other parts of Ukraine, a 60-year-old man was injured in Russian attacks on Nikopol and the Marhanets community in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Five people were injured in Donetsk Oblast, including two in the town of Pokrovsk and three elsewhere.
**Other Developments**
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that some North Korean soldiers deployed to fight for Russia have already been killed. He also stated that Ukraine’s army lacks the strength to liberate territories held by Russia since 2014, including Crimea.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Kyiv on December 2 to reaffirm his country’s support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
The European Union has delivered 1 million artillery shells to Ukraine, fulfilling a pledge it made earlier. The United States is not considering returning nuclear weapons to Ukraine, despite President Zelensky’s request.
