Public Defender Warns Against Using Force on Peaceful Protesters
The Public Defender in Georgia is warning the Ministry of Internal Affairs not to use force against people taking part in peaceful gatherings. This comes after a rally was dispersed on Rustaveli Avenue.
According to the Public Defender, only individuals who commit violent acts should face punishment. They say that peaceful assemblies should not be broken up by the police.
The Public Defender is calling on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to stop using force against protesters and to let them continue their peaceful gatherings without interference.
