**US Gives Ukraine $725 Million in Military Aid**
The US Department of Defense has announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine. This package is worth $725 million and will help Ukraine defend itself against Russia‘s aggression.
This is the 71st time that the US has given Ukraine aid since August 2021. The money will be used to support Ukraine’s defense efforts in various ways.
There were hints last week that this package was coming, when US officials spoke about it with the press. Some experts also thought that the Biden Administration might not have enough time to use all of its remaining $6.5 billion in aid funds before Donald Trump takes office on January 20. This could leave Ukraine without any help from the US at a time when it needs it most.
