**Constitutional Court Rejects Election Appeals**
The Constitutional Court of Georgia has made a decision on December 3. It rejected the appeals of President Salome Zurabishvili and over 30 former opposition MPs. They had challenged the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26.
President Zurabishvili had filed an appeal on November 19. She claimed that there were problems with how the vote was counted and that not everyone had been allowed to vote. The President wanted the final election results to be declared unconstitutional.
The opposition MPs had also appealed earlier, claiming similar issues with the elections. The Constitutional Court decided to combine these two cases into one. It had 30 days to make a decision.
A group of judges made up the plenary that heard this case. They were: Merab Turava, Eva Gotsiridze, Giorgi Tevdorashvili, Irine Imerlishvili, Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze, Xvicha Kikilashvili, Manana Kobakhidze, Vasil Roinishvili, and Teimuraz Tughushi.
Two of the judges, Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze and Teimuraz Tughushi, did not agree with the decision. They wrote dissenting opinions.
