**State Asked to Reveal Water Mix Used on Protesters**
The state is being asked to reveal what was mixed with water used to disperse protesters. This information could help medical staff treat people who were affected.
According to Nona Kurdovanidze, chairman of the “Young Lawyers Association”, it’s not allowed to mix different substances with water. She said that when this practice started, she and her organization called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to be transparent about what they were using.
The Ministry made a change to its rules a few years ago. It allowed the use of this mixture, but only in certain circumstances. However, experts say that this still goes against international standards.
Kurdovanidze is worried that without this information, it will be harder for medical staff to treat people who were affected by the substance. She’s calling on the state once again to reveal what they’re using and to follow international rules.
