Russia and Belarus Plan Joint Military Training Centers
Russia and Belarus are planning to set up three training centers to jointly train soldiers, according to a senior Belarusian security official. The training centers will be located in Belarus’ Hrodna Oblast and Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod and Kaliningrad oblasts.
This comes after the two countries signed over 160 agreements on military cooperation. The agreements include providing each other with modern military equipment. However, these claims have not been verified by independent sources.
Belarus has allowed Russian troops to use its territory as a staging ground for operations against Ukraine. It is also reportedly hosting Russian tactical nuclear arms.

Russia Continues Military Aggression
Russian troops have operated a torture chamber in the Belarusian town of Naroulia in 2022, according to a report by the Belarusian Investigative Center. Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians abducted from Ukraine were reportedly held there.

NATO Opposes Inviting Ukraine

Ukraine Receives Financial Aid
Ukraine’s Finance Ministry and the EU signed a memorandum and an agreement to attract up to 35 billion euros in aid as part of the G7 loan. This will help Ukraine with its economic needs during the conflict.
Long-term Peace Possible?
German Foreign Minister said that security guarantees such as Ukraine’s NATO membership and deployment of international troops are conceivable for achieving long-term peace in Ukraine.
