**Charity Stops Work in Gaza After Air Strike**
A charity called World Central Kitchen has stopped its work in Gaza after an Israeli air strike killed three of its staff members. The strike happened on Saturday in the town of Khan Younis, which is in southern Gaza.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the target of the air strike was a person who had been involved in attacks against Israel on October 7th. However, World Central Kitchen said it did not know about any individual in the vehicle that was struck.
**Many People Were Killed or Hurt**
Five people died in the strike, including three staff members from World Central Kitchen and two others who were killed instantly. Many more people were hurt, with one doctor saying he had seen patients with shrapnel injuries and no less than nine holes in their stomachs.
The BBC reported that doctors are now struggling to survive on food provided by aid agencies due to the high number of injured patients they have been treating.
**Charity’s Response**
World Central Kitchen said it was “heartbroken” over the deaths of its staff members. The charity has paused its operations in Gaza and is seeking further details about what happened.
Save the Children, a British charity, also confirmed that one of their staff members had been killed in Khan Younis on Saturday afternoon. They released a statement praising the man for his kind heart and dedication to helping others.
