**Denmark Helps Ukraine Rebuild Energy Infrastructure**
Russia’s attacks on Ukraine have caused massive damage to the country’s energy system. Almost 90% of DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, has been destroyed.
The Ukrainian government is now getting help from Denmark to rebuild its energy infrastructure. Denmark will give €6 million to Ukraine to repair damaged power plants and other energy facilities.
Denmark has already given a lot of support to Ukraine since the war started. They have committed over €7.2 billion in military aid, which is a significant amount. They are also helping Ukraine produce weapons that can be used by Ukrainian forces.
**New Aid Package**
Denmark’s Minister for European Affairs, Marie Bjerre Holst, announced the new aid package during a meeting with Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, Olha Stefanishyna, in Kyiv. The money will go to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine within the Energy Community.
During the meeting, the parties also talked about Ukraine joining the EU and the necessary reforms to make this happen.
**Ukraine Needs Help**
Earlier, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister said that the country needs at least 20 air defense systems to prevent power blackouts due to Russian attacks. The new aid package from Denmark will help Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure and reduce the risk of power outages.
