**Georgia and Ukraine Stand Together Against Russia**
The Presidents of Georgia and Ukraine are speaking out against Russian aggression. President Salome Zurabishvili responded to a statement by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about imposing sanctions on some Georgian citizens.
Zurabishvili thanked Zelenskyy for standing up to Russia’s actions in the Black Sea region. She wrote on social media, “Russia is trying to regain control over the Black Sea!”
**What Happened?**
Ukraine recently imposed sanctions on 19 individuals from Georgia, including businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili and politicians Kakha Kaladze and Irakli Kobakhidze.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine cannot afford to lose any country in the region. He believes that Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine must work together to defend themselves against Moscow’s aggression.
