**Russian FM Demands No NATO Involvement in Ukraine Peace Deal**
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that any peace agreement with Ukraine must exclude NATO involvement. He made this statement during an interview with Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News host.
The conversation was recorded on December 6 and posted online. Lavrov emphasized that Western countries need to accept the reality of the situation in Ukraine for any settlement to be possible.
He also claimed that Russia has become stronger despite international sanctions. Many Russians want sanctions removed as a condition for any agreement, he said.
This interview is not the first time Carlson has spoken with Russian officials. In February, he interviewed President Vladimir Putin, which sparked criticism from many analysts and Western governments.
Carlson has been known to spread misinformation about Ukraine. He previously tried to arrange an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy but was rejected.
