**Former Defense Minister Speaks Out**
Davit Kezerashvili, Georgia’s former Defense Minister, has made a statement about the recent search of his home. He claims that some of the weapons seized belong to him and were stored in accordance with the law.
Kezerashvili said on Facebook that he had been aware of the existence of the weapon for years. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the court also knew about it, but repeatedly confiscated it along with other property. Kezerashvili believes that anything without his signature is a “plant” by the agency.
**Kezerashvili Denies Wrongdoing**
According to Kezerashvili, the gun in question was left at his home before he was forced to leave Georgia in 2012. He claims that it was registered and stored correctly. Kezerashvili also accuses the Ministry of Internal Affairs of trying to intimidate him on political grounds.
**More Than Just a Personal Issue**
Kezerashvili sees this as part of a larger issue with the government in Georgia. He mentions the Gomelauri criminal group, which he believes is intimidating and persecuting people who love freedom. Kezerashvili hopes that this will not yield results for the government.
