A man was sent to prison as a precaution. He is accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at police officers.
The judge, Davit Mgeliashvili, said the court had enough evidence to keep the man in prison. He believed that the man might try to hide or destroy evidence if he were not kept in custody.
The prosecutor, Roin Khintibidze, agreed with the judge. He said there was a video of the man throwing the Molotov cocktail and that it landed near the police officers. He also thought that the man might commit another crime if he were not in prison.
However, the lawyers for the man disagreed. They said their client had done nothing wrong and that no evidence had been presented against him. They asked the court to let the man go on bail of 10,000 GEL instead of keeping him in prison.
The police arrested the man under Article 353 of the Criminal Code, which is about attacking a police officer.
