**Protest March Underway in Tbilisi**
A protest march is taking place from Tbilisi State University to the Parliament. The participants have blocked Melikishvili Avenue, causing traffic to stop.
Students, civil society groups, and politicians are among those participating in the march. They are protesting a decision made by Georgian Dream on November 28. This decision means that Georgia will not try to open negotiations with the European Union until the end of 2028.
The protesters are demanding two things: for new elections to be held and for people who were arrested during the protests to be released. They are showing their discontent with loud horn honks, banners, and chants. Some of the banners read “Striking”, “At home in Europe”, and “Our place is in Europe”. People are also shouting “Long live Georgia”.
Police have been sent to the area to try to keep everything under control.
This protest has been going on for 10 days now, not just in Tbilisi but also in other cities across the country.
