**IT Coalition Raises Almost €500 Million for Ukraine**
The IT Coalition Steering Group, led by Estonia and Luxembourg, has collected almost €500 million in support for Ukraine during its first year of operations. This was announced by the Estonian Ministry of Defense.
The coalition was formed in September 2023 to help Ukraine’s Armed Forces and Defense Ministry with IT, communications, and cybersecurity needs. It brings together countries from around the world, including Estonia, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, and others.
**Reviewing the First Year**
Leaders of the IT Coalition met in Luxembourg on December 6, 2024, to review the first year’s progress. They discussed Ukraine’s critical ICT needs for the coming year. The coalition has delivered €102.7 million worth of ICT assistance to Ukraine through joint efforts.
**Member Contributions**
Contributions from member states and joint procurement initiatives have added up to nearly €500 million. This includes:
* €410 million in bilateral ICT aid
* €72 million collected for joint procurement initiatives
Countries like Estonia, Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, and others have contributed significant amounts. Canada is preparing to join the coalition.
**Supporting Ukraine’s Needs**
The IT Coalition has supported Ukraine’s needs in areas such as tactical communications, data center expansion, and cybersecurity assurance this year. Estonia has committed €5 million to the coalition for 2025.
