**Russia-Ukraine War Updates**
As of December 5, 2024, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered its 1,016th day. The General Staff of Ukraine reports that there were 168 combat clashes over the past day.
**Enemy Activity**
The enemy launched one missile strike and 41 air strikes against Ukrainian positions and settlements. They also carried out over 4,800 attacks, including 152 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used about 2,240 kamikaze drones for strikes. The aggressor targeted areas around the settlements of Krasnopillya, Veterinarne, Vovchanski Khutory, Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, Lozova, Kostyantynivka, Gulyaipole, and Novoandreyevka.
**Ukrainian Defense**
The Ukrainian military responded with nine strikes on enemy positions and one control point. They also repelled seven enemy attacks in the Kharkiv direction, 15 attacks in the Kupyansk direction, and four attacks in the Toretsk direction. In other areas, the enemy was met with fierce resistance and suffered losses.
**Enemy Losses**
Over the past day, Ukrainian forces inflicted significant losses on the Russian invaders, including 1,580 soldiers killed or wounded. They also neutralized 13 tanks, 22 armored combat vehicles, 21 artillery systems, and 31 operational-tactical level UAVs.
**Total Combat Losses**
The estimated total combat losses of the enemy since February 24, 2022, are:
