**UK Suspects Help to Georgia**
The UK has stopped giving money and help to the government of Georgia. This is because of a crackdown on protests in the country.
The UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, said that what happened was “unacceptable” and must stop. He said that the actions of the Georgian government were “shocking” and went against European values.
**Restrictions Imposed**
The UK will not give any more money or help to Georgia until things calm down. It will also limit its cooperation with the Georgian government on defense matters. This is a sign that the UK is not happy with how the situation is being handled.
**Support for Georgian People**
Despite this, the UK says it still supports the people of Georgia and their right to choose their country’s future. The UK will continue to support civil society groups and peaceful protests in Georgia.
This comes after other countries, including Sweden and the US, have also taken action against the Georgian government. They are unhappy with the government’s decision to stop pursuing membership of the EU.
