**The App’s Success**
Just after the war started in 2022, Ajax Systems launched the “Air Alert” mobile app. It has become a vital tool for notifying Ukrainians about military threats. The app warns users of five types of dangers: drones and missiles, artillery shelling, street fighting, and chemical or radiation threats.
**Millions of Downloads**
The “Air Alert” app has been downloaded over 24 million times. It generates loud sounds to alert civilians of an impending airstrike, possible chemical attack, or technological catastrophe – even when their phone is in silent mode. The app provides threat warnings from regional administrations in Ukraine, helping people reach shelters quickly.
**Award and Recognition**
Ajax Systems was awarded the European Excellence Award 2024 for its “Air Alert” app. The company’s chief marketing officer, Valentine Hrytsenko, said they are grateful for the recognition. The award honors companies that demonstrate creativity, impact, and social value in their initiatives.
