Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Estonian Parliament, Marko Mihkelson, is disappointed with the recent meeting between the EU Ambassador to Georgia and the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. In a tweet, he expressed his frustration saying “European Union, please wake up!”

Yesterday, EU Ambassador Paweł Herczyński met with Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Georgia. The meeting aimed to discuss important aspects of relations between Georgia and the European Union.

Both sides emphasized the importance of mutual respect and integration into the EU. The Georgian authorities reiterated their commitment to fulfilling obligations to the EU and preparing the country for membership. However, they also expressed concerns about current events in Georgia, including ongoing political speculations related to elections.
