EU Ambassador Meets with Georgian Minister, Sparks Controversy
The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Seimas of Lithuania, Žygimantas Pavilionis, has criticized the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński. Pavilionis took to social media platform X to express his disapproval.
“Shame on you, Paweł Herczyński, you do not represent the European Union,” wrote Pavilionis. The criticism comes after Herczyński met with Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili, yesterday.

The meeting between Herczyński and Bochorishvili took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Georgia. According to a statement from the ministry, the conversation focused on important aspects of relations between Georgia and the EU.
The EU ambassador emphasized the importance of integration into the European Union and the need for mutual respect in this direction. He also noted that Georgia is committed to fulfilling its obligations to the EU and is ready to work towards preparing the country for membership.
