The Georgian President, Salome Zurabishvili, has called the latest statement from the State Security Service a “violation of human rights”. At a press briefing in the Orbeliani palace, she described the statement as an attempt to “psychologically terrorize people”.
Zurabishvili expressed her concerns that the statement would cause unnecessary fear among citizens. She mentioned peaceful demonstrations outside on previous days and noted how calm they were when there was no one there to incite them.
State Security Service Statement Causes Concerns
The State Security Service released a statement earlier today, warning of potential election-day violence. According to their statement, organizers of destructive activities are planning to disrupt the presidential election process on December 14, 2024. They claim that these individuals may resort to extreme measures, including harming people.
