**Russia Loses Over 750,000 Troops in Ukraine**
The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported on December 10 that Russia has lost 755,940 troops since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. This includes 1,350 casualties suffered by Russian forces over just one day.
**Russia’s Military Hardware Destroyed**
In addition to the human losses, Ukraine reports that Russia has also destroyed a significant amount of military hardware, including:

* 19,596 armored fighting vehicles
* 31,037 vehicles and fuel tanks
* 21,064 artillery systems
* 1,253 multiple launch rocket systems
* 1,023 air defense systems
* 369 airplanes
* 329 helicopters
* 20,107 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* One submarine
**Ukraine Returns Children to Safety**
Ukraine successfully returned five children from Russia and Russian-occupied territories as part of the “Bring Kids Back UA” initiative. This is a positive development for Ukraine, which continues to face significant challenges in its war with Russia.
**Sanctions Imposed on Illicit Gold Trade**
The latest round of sanctions imposes asset freezes on five individuals involved in the illicit gold trade, including the CEO of Paloma Precious, which has purchased more than $300 million of Russian gold.
**Ukraine Asks for More Military Aid**
Ukraine is asking its international partners for more military aid, particularly long-range weaponry like Taurus cruise missiles. The country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, met with German politician Friedrich Merz to discuss this issue.
