Opposition Holds Meeting in Tbilisi
The opposition is gathering for a second time. They are meeting at Expo Georgia, where representatives from three parties will discuss their next steps.
These parties are the “Unity of the National Movement“, the “Coalition for Change”, and the “Strong Georgia”. Their leader, Mamuka Khazaradze, said that their main goal is to work together.
Khazaradze wants the opposition to make a plan. This plan should include a strong protest outside and good relations with Western countries. He also wants the government to hold new elections and release people who were arrested during recent protests.
After the meeting, the parties will make a joint statement.
